Carrion Kids are a punk band from Mexico City that’s built a global reputation on unfiltered chaos, subversive style, and razor-edged sound. Formed in 2015 the group emerged from the capital’s noisy underground with a streak of EPs and albums like Hacer Daño, and Por Mi Culpa, Por Mi Culpa, Por Mi Gran Culpa. Their sound—fast, loud, and grimy—is a volatile blend of garage punk, surf rock, and scream-along nihilism. They’ve played everywhere from SXSW and Freakout Fest to DIY haunts across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe, where they’ve left stunned audiences trailing donut crumbs and glitter.
Toiling in the city’s garage and punk underground, screeching shape-shifters Carrion Kids have carved their name with a feral cocktail of chainsaw guitars, piercing wails, and a wicked sense of humor. “Your ears are going to suffer, but your body is going to dance,” wrote Remezcla. Their live shows are legendary: “Carrion Kids is an 18 year old cumshot exploding all over the room,” said Brent Amaker. “Carrion Kids is a hangover on a Sunday afternoon,” added Milenio. The Stranger once described the Mexico City native adorned in “fishnets, tighty-whities, donut crumbs, and vomit,” while Silverio recalled being “overwhelmed” by the band’s performance, comparing it to “a collective carriage pulling every last one to let loose in subnormal dances.”
Now entering a new chapter, Carrion Kids are working with producer Julián Lede—better known as Silverio—on a new album that expands their already manic aesthetic. They will be performing material from this upcoming release, bringing their usual dose of distortion, theatrical depravity, and unrelenting energy. Whether on a festival stage or packed into a concrete dive, Carrion Kids don’t play a show—they unleash one.
